Forklift operator – warehouseman

Job description: The person employed in this position will perform work on the transfer warehouse in the port in Belgium – loading and unloading of goods on pallets, recording and transporting goods in a high-bay warehouse (food industry), cleaning work in the warehouse, working in 3 shifts (also on weekends).

Duties:

• Operating forklift trucks in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions and in compliance with the workplace safety rules
• Loading, unloading, transporting goods with forklift trucks
• Acceptance of goods, i.e. checking that the type and quantity conform to the proof of posting received from the supplier
• Hand-held scanner operation
• Keeping the warehouse clean and organising stored goods
• Cooperation with superiors in English

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year’s professional experience in this position
• English language on communicative level
• Polish forklift operator certificates
• Knowledge how to operate the internal IT system in the scope of shipping functions and goods records
• Disclosure and Barring Service check

Nice to have:

• Category B driving licence (a private car – an additional asset)
• Knowledge of the Dutch language at the communicative level
